I am raising funds for tens of thousands of Myanmar War refugees and Internally Displaced people that are sheltering along Thai-Myanmar border, lacking adequate foods, shelter, sanitation and medical care.
More than 13 months after overthrowing a democratically elected government, the Myanmar junta has intensified its war against the people of Myanmar. The military has escalated its indiscriminate attacks against civilians using jet fighters, attack helicopters and heavy artillery, and soldiers have burned entire villages to the ground. Civilians and combatants have been tortured, raped, executed and used as human shields.
The number of Internally Displaced people (IDPs) in Myanmar has doubled since February of last year, now crossing the 900,000.
Tens of thousands of war victims and Internally Displaced people try to cross the border into neighboring country, Thailand, but were all forced back by the Thai border patrol. So, they all are left hopelessly along Thai-Myanmar border.
The present situation on Thai-Myanmar border
Tens of thousands of Myanmar war victims and Internally Displaced people are camping along the river bank, bordering with Thailand since entering into Thailand as refugee is not allowed by the Thai government due to covid-19 and many other political issues.
Every morning, Myanmar refugees swim across the river into neighboring Thailand to beg for foods, and then they are forced to go back right away.
For months, Myanmar war refugees walk across the river to Thailand to get whatever supplies people give away. So tens of thousands of refugees on the river bank are surviving with no adequate access to food supplies and no medical care.
In the jungle
At the same time, hundreds of families of Internally Displaced people and war victims are sheltering in temporary makeshift huts in the jungle, fleeing Myanmar junta's army that rape, kill and burn villages.
“Now is not the time for more rhetoric, it is time for meaningful action”,
How your donations are used:
The fund will be used to serve day-to-day needs, making specific product purchases that are in urgent need such as water-proof tops, rice, edible oil, salt, rations, mosquito nets, pads, baby utensils, baby milk powder, water storage materials and medical supplies as well as the used clothes.
This is a life-saving support and is so urgent as the war victims are in great sufferings in extreme hardship with no adequate access to humanitarian aid due to very little concern and interest of the international communities.
Any means of help and contribution will save a lots of lives otherwise the sick, wounded and hungry will perish in their sufferings.
Once again thank you so much.
