This year I will be going on a mission trip to Myanmar with 8 other students from my church (yaaaaay)!
I am part of a church called Shofar, and each year our church sends teams to countries all over the world to share the wonderful and good news of Jesus Christ.
This year our team will be heading to the city of Yangon in Myanmar, and there we will be partnering with pastor Mang, the head of an orphanage in the city as well as a pastor who has been serving the community through his teaching and preaching.
Our mission trip will take place during the June/July holidays of this year. During our time there we will be working in pastor Mang's orphanage, we will be teaching sessions at Bible schools, ministering in the villages of Yangon, and we will be making ourselves available to serve in any way that is needed.
In Matthew 28:16-20, God tells us to GO and make disciples of all nations. While we don't need to get on an airplane in order to share the gospel with others (and that we can 'go' right where we are), it really is a privilege to be in a position to also 'go' on a global scale.
For me, going on this mission trip is a huge leap of faith since it is not financially possible for me to go (in my own capacity). But I really do trust that when God sends us, He also pays, and I truly am standing in faith for His provision for this mission trip.
So if you do feel it on your heart to sow into this mission financially, it really would be such a blessing for me and our team. And if you are not able to sow financially, it would be wonderful if you could partner with our team in prayer as we trust God for His provision and for His favour upon us during our time in Myanmar.
Thank you so much for your willingness to partner with us and to take part in what God is wanting to do in Myanmar.
