Wally my wonderful service dog needs surgery.   He has a growth on his belly that has a main blood vessel running through it.  Because of the fear of it being punctured and being unable to stop the bleeding, we have not been leaving the house much.   I have his surgery scheduled and would appreciate any help that could be given towards his medical bill.   Any amount over the cost of his medical bill will be donated in his name to the ASPCA.

Wally has been my saving grace since his arrival in my home.   He was "just a shelter pup", but he has grown into not only the best companion but also a caregiver for me.   Having narcolepsy with cataplexy makes day to day life very complicated.   With a laugh or a cry, frustration, anger, or pain, my entire body can collapse.  While I lay there, I am not unconscious.  I am fully awake and aware of people, converstations and the goings on around me.  But I am trapped inside my body unable to move.  At times, parts of my body will lose all function.  My face will droop.   My arm, leg or both will "go out" and become limp like a noodle.  Along with those attacks, I fight falling asleep all day long.  I also experience painful "charley-horse" like muscle spasms in my legs and at times throughout my body.   Wally is there to help me through the day, waking me when I fall asleep at inappropriate times and also warning me and if necessary making me lie down before a collapse.   I wouldn't know what to do without him.     To top it all off, I am not the only one he takes care of.   He also "warns" my fiance and father when their diabetes is uncontrolled and they need to check it.   Wally also watched over my 10 year old son when he had broken both his arms.  Wally is truly remarkable and amazing.

Being on a fixed income, when expenses like this surgery come up it can take several months for me to set aside the funds.   I hope that doing this fundraiser will raise the necessary funds.   Any money we receive in excess of medical bills (surgery, medications, follow-up appointment) will be donated to the A.S.P.C.A. in Wally's name.

We thank you in advance for any help you can give.
