My uncle has been diagnosed with a rare disease called pulmonarty arterial hypertension. It occurs rarely, there being around 5 cases per million people. He is currently 39 years old, has a wife and a 10 years old son. Becuase he has got no job (his condition does not allow any effort) nor does his wife, they have little to no money. Currently he is under treatement (a very expensive one, 100.000 euros/year) supplied by the state but he is not given the money to undergo the surgery because of bureaucratic processes which seem paradoxal to us all, or maybe all those money spent on medication ends up filling somebody's pockets. A corrupt system such as this one seems to profit off the backs of the poor and unhealthy.

Anyway, with this treatement he will live for merely 2-3 years as told by the doctors. And in his case death comes in one of the ugliest manners. Right now, he is unable to make effort, gradually his internal organs will function less and less eficiently (liver, kidneys and heart), he will not be able to move and then... Even right now he is at a dangerously high risk of heart attack, imagine living with the fear of having a heart attack the very next minute. In order to complete the veru much needed surgery money were raised from inside the family but this is no small sum for any of us (around 7700 euros). A doctor will come from Germany to do the surgery at a private clinic. The surgery can't be done anywhere in our public hospitals and to go abroad is simply too big of an effort. The state would be able to fund us for a surgery abroad but generally it is very hard to impossible to find a clinic to accept a deal with the Romanian government on such a matter since the poor economy of Romania doesn't insure them of the payment, it could be delayed or who knows what could happen. Therefore clinics abroad aren't really an option since Romanian pacients are seen as a "no go".

In conclusion, any sum of money will be helpful and even messages of encouragement will be very much appreciated. I thank everyone in advance.
