Hey folks. I know alot people have it hard these days. Ive never reached out for help in this way and I must admit, it feels alittle uncomfortable. But I find myself in a bad spot and I'm really running low on options. So as strange as I may feel about discussing my problem to you good folks, I'm praying that through this platform, I will find the aid I desperately need.

My 96 Chevy s-10 officially died earlier this week. In the last 8 months, I learned on the fly to fix and then repaired the following:

Fuel Pump, U-Joints, Alternator, and even with some assistance from a friend did the headgasket.

I never had really done any auto repair myself in my life. I was proud that I was getting the work done for cheaper than at a garage while learning some valuable auto repair skills at the same time. My profile pic is when I did the head gasket repair. I've included some pics of the other repairs I performed and also of my old truck.

Earlier this week, the bearings around the cam shaft went. She had 290,000 miles on her and I guess she had been through enough. Short of dropping a whole new engine, shes done.

I've been out of work for two days as I try to find transportation, which has not been easy. I don't have family near me and live 35 miles from my job, so no coworkers can help. Like everyone else, I've got bills and am a machinist and an hourly worker. So I didn't really have the type of nest egg needed to correct this problem.

I took the truck to the scrap yard which got me $130. There are some decent autos on craigslist in the area that may be feasible, but I don't have the capital to start seriously looking. I need is $3500 to try to shop for reliable transportation, but truthfully anything will help. Hopefully, if anyone on here sees fit to help, I can find something to get back and forth to work before i end up losing my job too.

Like I said, I know people struggle everywhere. Asking for handouts is not something I normally do, which is why I've been so long-winded here. However, I don't really have anywhere else to turn so I figure it doesn't hurt to see if others would be willing to help.

Again, sorry I've been so longwinded.. Anything would be so very appreciated and will absolutely be spent in the most needed way, that being getting me reliable transportation. Thank yall so much for taking the time to read and have a blessed day.
