My travel memoirs

My name is Viktor Simunic.

As a great lover of traveling and exploring new cultures, at the age of 29 I traveled to 36 countries, out of about 147 cities on three continents. I travel as much as my obligations allow, but mostly I use every year to get to know a new destination. I organize each trip independently so that I can experience the charms of a destination outside the agency program. So I find I have a lot of interesting things to tell, especially about destinations that people don’t even visit that often.

The goal of the project is to print my travel travelogues from the past five years around the world. I chose 7 destinations that I think would be most interesting to readers because, among other things, they do not visit so often. These are distant Cuba, China, North Korea, Chernobyl / Ukraine, Russia, the Emirates and Jordan.

All my travels are marked by the motifs of Hrvatsko Zagorje. Namely, as I get to know a new culture on my travels, I also introduce the locals to the area where I come from. Also, on each trip I carry recognizable motifs of Zagorje such as traditional gingerbread hearts, wooden toys, T-shirts with the logo "Fairy Tale in the palm of your hand", and I share them with the people I talk to. At the same time, all the pictures created on these trips, which I publish on social networks, have the motif of Zagorje. By doing so, I am certainly promoting Krapina-Zagorje County and I plan to present this to my readers of the travelogue book.

In addition to seven travelogues, the book would also contain numerous travel photos showing the motifs of Zagorje.
