My Student Accommodation Burnt Down!!

Hi, my name is Marina and I'm an international student studying in Nottingham, England.

I was staying at the Student Lodge in Radford, Nottingham but on Monday 30th March 2015, a fire started in my accomodation at 1.30pm.  We were told to evacuate the building immediatly so I quickly left my room wih nothing but the clothes I was wearing. 

Five days have now passed and they have now demolished the entire building.  The fire spread to all the floors and completly destroyed everything I have including all my clothes, laptop and harddrive with all my work and all my memories, passport and other valuables. I only had the clothes I was wearing and my phone.  

My accomodation has refused to compensate myself and the other tenennants (approximatly 40 of us) who were also affected by the fire. I have no family or close friends here  so I can't turn to anyone for help.  Since I am an international student, I have no knowledge of British Law or the legal system so I don't know what rights, if any, I have in this situation.

I am making this page because I'm really in need of your help. I have to start again so any contribution will be extremly helpful.  I really hope that you can help me in any little way and I will be extremly grateful!! Thankyou very much!
