MY SRS(SEX REASSIGNMENT SURGERY) JOURNEY

Hello everyone,

I am Deniz Eylin. I am a transwoman. I studied philosophy at Ege University and pedagogy course as well. Now, I am a jobless philosophy teacher.
I wish, I could do this job that I love. But my sexual identity prevents me from doing this.

I live in Turkey. Life is hard in my country for transpeople and other lgbti+ members. Society despises, abuses, uses violence and even kills us. It's very difficult for transpeople to get a job. Because having a transgender worker is something that many people are feeling ashamed of. Just because of reason, I lost my job this week.

I have been receiving psychiatric treatment for almost 2 years. And I have been on hormone theraphy for 14 mounts.
Unfortunately, my family isn't with me during this process.

SRS(sex reassignment surgery) is very important for me to feel whole in body and mind.
SRS is required to get a female ID. But this surgery is very expensive in Turkey. Even Hrt drugs its same.
It isn't possible to save this money. Even the smallest help is very valuable to me.

I love life and nature but I am scared of my future. I just want to be happy as a woman. I wish peace and happiness for good people.
