My South America Volunteer Trip

A few years ago I started noticing a burning desire to get my hands dirty and help other people, specifically people abroad. I kept telling myself "now isn't the right time", "you'll have plenty of time to help out" and "it's not financially wise." 2019 taught me many hard lessons, but most importantly I learned that I should follow the calling I've heard from within. I decided to make this happen no matter the cost, because there are so many in need. I did my research and picked a program called International Volunteer Headquarters that helps you get set up in a community in need. I chose a placement in Santa Elena Ecuador where I will be assisting in various environmental education programs. I am particularly passionate about this because of the current status of our planet and environment and want to do anything I can to help. I used all of my savings and available funds to prepare, purchase flights and pay program fees, because I knew this experience would mean more than money could provide. I am asking for any help you can provide to assist with program fees, flight expenses, living money while I'm there. Any remaining funds will be donated to my program to further the reach of their projects. I hope you can listen to that calling inside you and lend a helping hand.
