My sister, my hero.

I'd like to begin by saying thank you for listening to my sister's story. Youre already I hero just for that. My name is Cassie and I'm raising funds to get my very ill younger sister to a specialist physician in New York or Illinois. let me introduce who she is and will always be. Sissy is first of all a mama before anything else. She has three teeens who have given her strength to fight a struggle that began a decade ago. Picture a unique girl...one who always creates a memorable first impression, even on her worst days. One of her favorite sayings is "whether they laugh AT me or WITH me, atleast theyre forgetting about their own hardships for a few minutes-perhaps even the whole day." You wont ever catch her feeling sorry for herself. Only for her family and others who struggle.Shes very positive and has yet another favorite saying. "Dont think twice, because you only live once." Others, including us as her family, and being most affected, can only cry in secret as we lack the inner strength that my sissy exudes. We only strive to raise money for more accurate and pinpointed medical treatment as the doctors here have seemed to have lost the expertise to provide anything more than palliative or comforting care.

To make a decade long struggle and story short, my sissy has several birth defects and chronic illnesses. But, for the sake of space, I will touch on the ones deterorating our baby girl slowly and miserably.

Arnold Chiari Malformation and Gastroperesis. A birth defect of the brain and spine and a stomach digestive failure illness leaving the wrath of severe malnutrition, constant dehydration, and lack of important nutrients we all receive from food. Both of these illnesses have tried to take her for years, but within the last 6 months she has lost 22 teeth that were in good shape and her beautiful hair is now a dried up ratted nest that she keeps up because she cannot bring herself to shave it.

We would love to get her to a major city with several Specialists working as a team. My sister has asked me to thank everyone that took time to read our plea. For that she already has new Heroes. Please at least pray for her her special babies that have saved her till now and who she will fight until the absolute end, for the very next time you bow your head or kneel on your knees to pray to our Lord.
