For my sister’s MEDICAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE – Rheumatic Heart Disease, Severe Mitral Valve Regurgitation and undergone Open Heart Surgery (Mitral Valve Repair & Ligation of Aorta-Pulmonary Connection)

I am Jennica Valencia, 22 years of age, sister of patient Edenlyn Valencia, 18. My sister presently a Grade 11 student from Adiangao, San Jose, Camarines Sur. She is currently admitted here at Philippine Heart Center following the referral from her Doctor at Bicol Access.

Initially, we were referred first to National Children's Hospital last December 2020 but due to the scarcity of blood supply we were instructed to transfer in Philippine Heart Center and she was admitted last January 13, 2021.

She was diagnosed with Rheumatic Heart Disease, Severe Mitral Valve Regurgitation and undergone Open Heart Surgery (Mitral Valve Repair & Ligation of Aorta-Pulmonary Connection) last March 6, 2021.

As an eldest among her sisters, I took the responsibility of taking care of her because our parent is physically capable to provide all the necessary attention she needs. Prior to her Open Heart Surgery, she has suffered complication from her lung. It was'nt expected that there were another heart defect observed by the Surgeons.

Fortunately, and with God's Grace the entire operation were succesfully done by PHC Surgeons though she relly felt agitated, traumatized and yes, the anxiety she felt was really visible from her. I guess it's all part of recovery stage and perhaps due to the complex procedures she had successfully overcome.

We, the Family of Edenlyn humbly knocking to your kind hearts to help us collect sufficient fund for her Hospital Bill and other Medical Fees. Currently, our running hospital bill at the moment reached to Php 1.4 million (estimated). At the moment, we are also doing the initiative to seek Medical Assistance to also help our beloved Sister. Our funds has been already exhausted because we already spent 4months here in Manila and 3 months in the Hospital. Our father is a senior citizen and farming is his only work. My other siblings are still studying and my other brother's earnings are just sufficient to sustain our other daily needs. We have a very limited capacity to pay all the hospital bills and it really breaks our heart that we cannot do something about my sister's situation. The only thing we could do for now is to PRAY and be heard in any social media platform through sharing our request.

The assistance that you'll be given would be highly appreciated and would be considered priceless. All of the donations that would collected will be use for my sister's Hospital Bill, other Medical Fees and long term medication. May God bless you all for your kind intention.
