My Roadtrip

Hello, I am a junior in high school and last summer I went on a Christian retreat to Wyoming and I spent 9 days and 9 nights sleeping in a ENO hammock on the side of one of the Grand Tetons juts outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The trip last year was a trip that in all honesty changed my life. I have been around camping all of my life but it had always been one to two night camping trips in a safe camp ground with a warm fire to make smores over. My entire realm of camping changed when I went on this trip. It was one of those things you want to tell everyone about but you can even think of the words to describe it.

Hiking 7 miles up a mountain in altitude really makes you appreciate your health and physical awareness when gasping for air is the only thing you can think about. Any hoo, my brother, David, is a Freshman in College at the University of Miami in Florida. He became an Eagle Scout last summer and graduated top 10% in his high school class. This year has been really tough not having him around and I would like for he and I to be able to roadtrip out to Wyoming so I can show him the countless stars in the sky, the baby moose with their mothers, the shooting stars that seem like something out of Starwars, and the blinding moon in the middle of the night when you wake up because you hear a little marmot waddling around beneath your hammock.

I added up gas with our not-so-smart car along with camp site fees, food, and the small amount of supplies that we'll need for our adventure and it surprisingly added up to $1575.00 (with an average gas price). ANYTHING can help!! Prayers, thoughts, donations it all is equally beautiful and I appreciate you taking the time to read about my small project and I really hope we are able to make this happen this summer!
