MY PARENTS vs. COVID

Good afternoon! I’m Chall and I am writing this to help my dear loving parents in their journey to fight against Covid.

On the 3rd week of march, my parents (who are both seniors ages 61 & 79) tested positive for Covid-19 virus. They needed to be admitted and given immediate attention because their ct-scans showed that they both have pneumonia due to Covid alongside having Diabetes and Hypertension. We really had a hard time looking for hospitals but we eventually got admitted in “City of Imus Doctors Hospital” at Imus Cavite last Saturday (April 3, 2021). We are thankful for those good Samaritans who reached out and helped us in this process.

However, when they finally got admitted, the hospital expenses were another challenge we have to face. We didn’t expect the hospital bills to be this expensive so we weren’t ready for this at all. We were asked to pay a 100k deposit upon entering the hospital at midnight. But we were only able to pay 50k. By the next day they’re already requesting additional payment of P100,000 and when we couldn’t complete the amount asap, they stopped my parents’ Covid IV treatment at 2pm of April 5. We had to borrow money at the last minute to comply with the hospital and only then they continued giving treatment.

This pandemic caused us a lot of financial struggles making us incapable to cover my parents’ hospital bills. Today, I am humbly knocking on your generous hearts to please help us on our financial struggles for my parent’s journey of winning their battle against COVID.

My parents live their lives making sure they could help as much people as they can even in difficult times, but now they are the ones who are in dire need of help. We are appealing to our friends, relatives or people we may not know personally to help us on my parents’ situation. Any amount, big or small, will not go to waste and will be a great help for us at this time. I don’t know what else to do anymore, so I’m turning to social media for help.
