My Mum, My Hero

​Hello everyone! My name is Joana, I live in England, and originally I'm from a small country in the Eastern part of Europe :) I have one brother and one sister, who also live in England. Unfortunately, like many others, we had to leave our country, looking for better future, better job, etc. And, unfortunately, we had to leave our friends, and most important, family, behind. We have the most amazing Mother in the world - yes, Mother with big M! She raised us all by herself, with her small salary as a teacher, three children, without any help! And even though we never had fancy holidays, many toys, going out for meals, cinemas, and hardly ever leaving our small town - we had the MOST amazing childhood, we were never hungry, we always had clothes on our back, the bills were always paid. Now, when I'm 25 years old, and look back, I honestly have no idea how she did it - she was walking every morning to work, working all day, then walking home, always carrying these grocery bags (because we never had a car!), cleaning, making dinner, doing dishes, laundry, ironing, and then all over again, day after day... never complaint. She is the kindest person in the world, she is the most beautiful person in the world, the cleverest person I know, the wisest person I've ever met, the most caring and loving woman on this planet. She taught us everything - what values are important in this life.

She raised us, she looked after us, and now it's our turn - to give back. We help her monthly, but to us, this is not enough - unfortunately, we can't afford to visit her more than once a year - even though we all work really hard, full time, not just sitting home and not doing nothing, I wish we could see her more often, spend more time with her, make more and more wonderful memories with her... but this is life, I guess! That's why I'm here - to ask YOU, for help!

My Mom always loved travelling - ever since we were little, she used to watch these travel programs, and always saying how she hoped one day she will travel, and visit more places. I (and my siblings) are trying to save some money, and surprise her for her next birthday (still a few months to go) with certain amount, that she can spend on this - travelling, visiting us, and (why not) going on our first family vacation, all together! I'm pretty sure that will make her the happiest person in the world! She is our queen, she is our hero - and she deserve everything! Please, I know that there's much more important causes out there, but in our eyes there's nothing more important than our Mom - and even if you donate 1£, this will take us one step closer to making The  Most Important Person in our lives more happy than she has ever been.
