Campaign Story
My mother is suffering from several different autoimmune diseases. And these diseases are diabetes type 1, asthma, sarkoidose, Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) and EhlerDanlos syndrome (EDS), EDS is not an autoimmune disease. But it is the SPS that is the worst one that she needs to get treatment for.
It's an progressive disease that gets worse whit the time so she needs the treatment as soon as possible. But the treatment costs a lot of money, between 70 000 - 150 000 US dollars depends in which country she are able to get it. SPS is an neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and repeated very painful muscle spasms. Because of the muscle rigidity she is forced to sit in a electric wheel chair, and have a personal assistant 24/7. My dad has two jobs and working really hard to get the economy in the family going. My family is very strong and never gives up! But I don't want them to suffer like they do, and to get the money for the treatment would save a lot of suffering for my family! My mother worked as an family therapist before she had to quit working and helped people whit their problems and get "back on their legs" so I think my mother deserves the same thing to get some help and literally get back on her legs! My mother is awesome and very caring person and do not deserve the kind of suffer she is going trough!
