My mom’s fight

Hi Everyone, over here is my mom, Olivia Hong. She’s a great provider, a supportive wife and most especially, a loving, selfless and caring mother. She suffered from a mild stroke last September and since then, she’s been bed ridden and her health has taken a turn for the worse. She got hospitalized last month due to a consistent fever (fearing it might be covid) but to our surprise, she was instead suffering from multiple infections. This isn’t even the difficult part, she got treated this time around and even got the clearance to leave the hospital.

However last Dec 17, her oxygen saturation fell to 10% and was again rushed to the hospital. Her infections apparently recurred worse than before and is now requiring her to be placed in the ICU with a mechanical ventilator. Due to the nature of her condition, multiple laboratory tests are being conducted at an aggressive pace to put her in a stable condition. As of this writing, she’s only on her 3rd day in the ICU but has already incurred a running bill of P440,000 (~S$11,900). This is excluding last month’s hospitalization bill and the initial emergency treatment given to her when she first arrived in the hospital. We are still on the stage of stabilizing her condition and she still needs to undergo a series of operations to eliminate the source of infections.

We’ve put up this fundraising page to request some financial assistance from everyone in order to cover for her medical bills. Any amount of donation would surely go a long way. I’d like to express my deepest gratitude in advance for the help you will be giving in saving my mom’s life.
