My mom, Susana has been diagnosed with stage 3 tuberculosis last 2012. It's not an easy road for us, every year is a struggle, for the past 5 years I don't know how many times do we need to rush my mom to the hospital because she was literally vomiting gallons of blood without any clue on when it will going to stop.

May 28, 2017, just a couple of weeks after she celebrated her birthday. We need to rush her again to the nearby hospital because the bleeding is not stopping, leaving her unconscious and at a critical state. we almost thought we lost her that time. We decided to transfer her to a much bigger hospital to accommodate her medical needs.

When we transfer her to PGH ( Philippine General Hospital ) Her doctors told us that she needs to undergo a major operation called thoracotomy, an operation wherein they will remove a part of the lungs which has the cancerous tissue. It's a battle between life and death, even the doctors said they cannot guarantee that the operation will be 100% successful.

June 6, 2017, After long discussions and preparing for the needed stuff for her operation. my mom decided to undergo even if we're not sure if she will make it through the process.

The operation almost took 6hrs before a doctor called us and said that my mom is now resting in the ICU room and that we can visit her soon that day.

Everything went fine, I thought everything is okay that day, but then, one of her doctors said we need to transfer her to another ICU for further observations. While in ICU, she experienced a near to heart attack scenario, drastic change in her attitude ( dementia ) and her kidney didn't function well. there's also a tube that is connected to her lungs to drain excess fluids on the part where a part of her lung was extracted.

To cut the story short, we almost spent 2 months in the hospital until we finally bring her back home last september. Yes, the operation was successful. My mom got her life back and we are so happy that God gave her another chance to live.

Now, the most crucial part is done but the debts that we left in the hospital is not a joke. I just wanted to ask you guys to help me pay the people behind my mom's successful operation. Those professionals were so kind to let us leave the hospital with just a letter stating that we will just pay them in installment. As of the moment, I am the main source of income for my family, my father is a tricycle driver and his income is just enough for our daily living.

Please help me give my mom better life

Now that she's capable of doing things that she wasn't able to do before because cancer overtook her life, I think now is the perfect time to make her feel better as she continuously recovers from her major operation. Thank you, and God bless us all.
