My Mini Me – Me Oh My – Help With Mini’s Eye 🐾🐶

Hi, I'm Jacque and my Mini-Moo is my minime. 😜

To get right to it, Mini needs surgery to remove her right eye. About a year ago, she developed a cataract in the eye, which eventually caused cloudiness and vision loss. Luckily it was just the one. Several months ago we were told she also had a dislocated lens that moved in front of her iris in the same eye. Nope, not the right place. I learned there was likely an injury or trauma to the eye. However, I do not remember such an incident and Mini won't fill in the details. 🙊 In the past week, the almost worst case scenario played out - her eye filled with fluid (from looking, I'd guess blood) and she has a bad case of glaucoma. The pressure is painful, but I started administering eye drops meant for eye pressure control. 🙈 She doesn't like them of course, but I would like to have the eye removed as soon as possible to eliminate the pain entirely. This was also recommended by our vet.

Really, the eye drops are buying me time to figure out how to pull off a miracle. I most certainly want my Mini out of pain. Money is issue - why else would I be here? 🙉 My income is very limited but my love for my furbaby knows no end. I adore her. Well, 99.9999% of the time. The other 0.0001%? When her curiosity towards the garbage causes coffe grounds to visit the floor. Never mind the other trash lol what fun.

I was graced with Mini's love first in October 2005, when she was about one year old. We were instantly inseparable and that 19 pounds of mostly fur has enriched my life immensely. Yes, she is aging. In October, we will have been family for 11 years and she will be 12 years old. Neither of us are ready to part though. When she is well, she bounces like nothing else and shares her little-dog-big-attitude with me. It's absolutely divine. She still is excited by her favorite people and treats. At the end of the day, she lets me scratch her belly. 🐾💕

Ask questions if you want (and can - I have never done this so I'm unsure) and I won't write anymore. I think it's covered and as much as I can go on about my quirky companion, your own dog may need some scratches.
