My Last Hard Earned Dollars Scammed!!!😐

On 21/12/21 we applied for a rental property which was $200p/w through Market Place Facebook Australia just a shed on acerage,as we are paying $650 where we are now and it's draining We got approved for the property and communicated through emails she asked us to pay $400 bond and $400 rent which we did pay on Christmas day and using every cent we had to make sure we secured this property. We were very excited it was rough but there we could save money A Day later we found out these people are scammers which made us feel ill. This property woud have enabled hubby to start a restoration business as he has been unemployed for couple of years he has physical problems which makes it hard for employment. I myself work 2 jobs factory work and cleaning to support 4 kids and our family. Any help would be appreciated to recoup the cost of this scam, I know it was foolish to trust these people they have done this many times before Police and bank have been informed hopefully this will stop them doing it to others.
