My Journey to become a social worker

I grew up in Mukuru slums and finished my primary school the year 2000, and I didn't join high school due to lack of School fees which my parents couldn't afford.. though I didn't stop doing personal studies... I'm in urgency need for financial assistance from anyone or any organisation that may be willing to assist me make my dream come true.

I'm self employed, I have a family and kids in school. Financially I'm not that stable to pay for my school fees. The little that I earn from my small scale business, I use it to pay bills, pay school fees for my kids and fund my community projects..

I've already found a good college in Nairobi city which is offering high school adult education program for the period of 2 years. Would like to enroll in the middle of January the year 2022.

My dream is to finish my high school adult education, then God willing proceed to university to do social work and community development course.

While I'm still doing community work,My next move in the next 6 years would love to spend my time in school, so that I can be in a position to help many people (in an effective way) from mukuru slums, especially preteens and teens..

It has taken me years to understand what the Lord wants me to do... Though I have been doing social work since I was a teenager.. I love working with people and the Lord has given me a big heart for people.

I believe, adult education prepares the family for lifelong success, and creates stronger, safer and healthier communities.

I will be very greatful for whatever response, consideration and financial help you'll offer.
