We accept donations for my husband who suffers from uncontrolled diabetes and has developed gangrene in both feet. The infection has spread all over his body and to his blood. If he cannot undergo surgery, he will not survive.
The surgery is for amputation of his left foot. At first, he did not want to undergo amputation. there is no way to make him understand except to put it bluntly. I told him that it's either amputation or he dies from infection. He chose amputation and said, "I want to live!"
The amputation is only the beginning of our financial struggle. There is a chance that the other foot might be a candidate for amputation, too.
In 2010, he had angioplasty and presently the doctors found some problems with his heart which needed maintenance medicine after the surgery. He would also need maintenance medicine for his diabetes. These mounting medical expenses have driven me to start a fundraiser because my husband wants to live but we cannot afford all his very expensive maintenance medicine.
