My parents were both teachers. They have built this tuition centre from scratch. They started it by inviting the students to our house for study session with a fixed price. However, dealing in a quite rural area, most of them had finances problems and therefore, my mother and dad taught them for free. The next year, my mom managed to rent a lot to start the learning session formally and hopefully, can bring comfort to these students. We have stand tall for quite a number of years but we have come to find out that the lot is about to get sold by the family who owns it. At first, my parents sealed the deal with the landlord which was their mom, but she had passed away and so her children decided to sell the lot at $200,000. One of them decided to tell my parents about it and offered us the deal but we couldn't afford it. But we couldn't just let it go. This tuition centre has and always been the primary source of our income, now that my mom had to work alone. My dad was diagnosed as diabetic and lost his left leg 5/6 years ago, so for a while he had been teaching while sitting on the wheelchair. But on the very first day of 2018, his right leg had to be amputated due to infection which could be fatal. We have spent a lot in making sure that my dad is being taken care of and presenting our best in the making of the tuition centre. We were planning to take a loan to buy the lot but both of my parents were blacklisted due to unfinished family matters and I am only 21 and still studying with no stable income or job. This fundraising would mean a lot to us if we managed to hit the expected amount but even if it isn't, we will work our way out of this because we really want to hold this lot and this centre that we literally built out of sweat and tears.
