My Heart for Mama

I am humbly asking for your HELP!

My mom got hospitalized (again) last Oct 28,2019 as of 2am. And as of this date our running bill is P200k+ We rushed her to the hospital as primarily she was having chest pain & difficult of breathing (DOB). When we came to the Emergency Room of the Manila East Medical Center in Taytay, the medical staff took her vitals and all were in very low status. She was so pale, and her sweat was as cold as ice. Oxygen level is just around 42, and her breathing was really in bad shape. The doctors might thought of her having a cardiac arrest. She was recommended to be confined in the ICU.

Upon initial findings, they found out water on her lungs (pulmonary edema) which is usually a symptom or common to people diagnosed with CKD (Chronice Kidney Disease) Stage 5 - as explained by the Doctor from the ER. Thus one reason as to why she had DOB. After other couple of heart examination she then was also diagnosed to have ACS (Acute Coronary Syndrome) which caused her cardiac arrest. This is a case where blood flow decreased in the coronary arteries. This is also when a part of the muscle in the heart is not properly functioning or slowly dying.

As part of her medication and medical plan, an emergency dialysis was done 3 times as of this week. Then continuous medication is given to get her heart functioning correctly again. But the medications that is being given is not less than P1700 per vial. And it’s not just one medicine with that cost, but a couple of them. All for the HEART. These medicines are injected to her through an infusion pump for about 5-6times or needed per day specially when her blood pressure goes down or up. The medication will be given for a week per her Cardiologist. This is to ensure that her heart can recuperate well. She is currently stable (Thank God!) and yet still under monitoring.

Our family is striving hard to get the money that we need since it was just recently (last March of this year) when she had her 5th stroke as well and got confined on the same hospital. Our family is not yet fully coped up financially as her medications and dialysis are continuous before this devastating emergency happened again.
