- Last February 2016, my grandmother who is 72 years old, was diagnosed with lung cancer stage 4. Every month, we need to have atleast Php70,000 for oral chemotherapy, maintenance medicine, check-ups and milk. She has been in and out of the hospital for more than twice every month. Just last August 11, 2017 she was again confined to the hospital (HNU MCI Female Ward) to undergo a CT Scan. The doctor found out that she has also 2 big cancerous tumors inside her brain and is very low in calcium.
- The doctor recommended to have my grandma undergo radiation therapy. It is really difficult for us financially and we do not know if we can still support her since we don't have enough money already. We live in but the only nearest hospital who has a radiation machine is still in Chonghua Hospital which is in Cebu City.
