Proceeds from my book will help build a home for battered women.

I began writing a book in 2005 about an event that took place which made history in my country, Trinidad and Tobago. Although I was not directly involved in the event, it affected my life to this day in a way that I would never forget. My experience gave me the story of a lifetime which include mystery, the loopholes in the justice system, my mother's illness and eventual death, the manipulation of the prison system, the death of my father, deception, lies, romance and near death experience. The objective of my story is to raise awareness for individuals on how to recognize and protect themselves in a world that is full of surprises. This is my first book, I have written almost 300 pages, but over the years it has been very challenging to complete it as I have to work to support my home. My job pays by commission so if I don't work then there's no pay. I need to raise a minimum of $40,000.00 to complete the writing, get it edited and published. I corresponded with a published writer on line (Myrle Bryne I think was her name) she got very excited about my story and encouraged me to pursue my book and even suggested that I consider doing a movie. I would also like to do a talk show where individuals can come and share similar stories and even get help where necessary. I sincerely would like to follow this dream but I need help to finance this project.
