I had the good fortune to travel to Cambodia in May 2017. I visited schools and houses in the countryside and my heart ached to witness the poverty all around me. At first, I felt sympathy as I believed it was not their choice. However, the more time I spent with them, I realised that they did have a choice. Some children rode their bicycles to school which was several kilometers away. Some went to school in tattered clothes, carrying their books in plastic bags. Everyday the kids chose to attend school while their parents toiled in the fields. Everyday they chose a better life instead of giving up in the face of hardship. These are the kids I want to help. These are the kids who deserve your help.
World Assistance for Cambodia is the organisation I will be working with to fulfil my dreams! Kindly check it out if you would like to learn more about what the organisation.
