My Ghana Adventure

My medical adventure in Ghana.

At the start of 2015 I was given an incredible opportunity to be able to go out to Ghana to do a medical programme. After working like crazy I was able to fund my trip which means, on the 2nd of August I will be starting my journey to Ghana. I couldn't be happier to be given the opportunity from Plan My Gap Year to go out and experience working in hospitals, specifically in the midwifery ward which will give me a massive insight & hands on experience in what my foreseeable future career in nursing may be! As I've been so lucky to be given this crazy experience, I want to give a little something back. Plan My Gap Year have teamed up with fundraising charities in which money funded by us volunteers, can be given to help the environment we work in, in my case I want to donate money to the hospitals & orphanage to put towards providing for extra medical supplies, equipment & for other little things such as colouring books, food, clothes & felt tips which would mean the absolute world to the children in the orphanage. If you could spare a donation, big or small, myself, PMGY Directors/team & the children & families in Ghana would greatly appreciate the help & support which could make a massive difference in people's lives in Ghana.
