My name is Roger Thompson, and I am launching this campaign for a friend who has a rare autoimmune disease. Please read her story and consider making a donation to help pay for her treatment. Thanks.
Almost 12 years ago I had a bad fall hitting both my tail bone and back of my head. I immediately went to the hospital, waited five hours and didn't get seen. By that time my headache had subsided and I just assumed I was fine, especially when I woke up the next day and had no pain (which I found out much too late, was actually an ominous sign). Two months after this physical trauma, I suffered an emotional trauma, and as a result, lost all saliva production for almost two days. It was two weeks after this event that I started noticing odd changes to my skin. Basically, from that point on which would have been around April of 2010, I literally watched the skin all over my entire body from head to toe, take on a different appearance. I started losing elasticity, skin was becoming very thin in certain places, my subcutaneous layer was literally disintegrating. I started losing sudden muscle mass all over my body, and despite all my efforts to regain what I had lost, nothing worked.Thank you in advance to anyone who has taken the time to read my story. |
