Campaign Story
My Father's Angioplasty and Revascularization
Hi, my father, Cesar Jaramillo, is a medical frontliner who works tirelessly in a hospital to help with the covid-19 efforts all while supporting his family. The thing is, he has coronary artery disease. Honestly I'm not really sure I understand the full extent of this illness, but the doctors say he's a "ticking time bomb," meaning he could have a heart attack any minute and he needs to have surgery ASAP. He was actually scheduled for surgery last year, but given that it was really expensive (around $8500) and we didn't have the money--plus covid happened--he didn't go for it. I've been slowly trying to save up, but because of the pandemic, I'm having a hard time juggling this and other expenses with just my salary (I'm a graphic artist). My mother doesn't have a stable job because of the pandemic and my brother is unemployed.
The doctors told me he needs this surgery right away before it's too late, and I honestly don't know what to do. I really don't want to lose him. If you could spare even the smallest amount, or share this to your friends, I would greatly appreciate it!
