My family needs a little help

Hello, my name is Taneia Love.

Just a short background on my family. My family includes myself, my husband and our son to be 8 son. Our son has special needs but he has overcome many milestones. We have sacrificed so much to make sure he thrives and it is worth it. I had to give up the idea of a big career to take care of him but seeing him smile makes it all worth it. Anyways, we recently moved back to Kansas City so that we could get our finances in order and we did not like the schools in Dallas (special education). So, my husband got laid off and then took a job at Amazon which was seasonal and after prime day laid off. It has been hard for him to find a job with the hours he need in order to get our son from after school care. He had to turn down offers because of that. Anyone who hasn’t kids in after school care understands. It took 2 months and by the time he starts his new job it will be 3 months. Our expenses are based on a 2 household income. We have basic living expenses nothing fancy. But, I worked a lot of overtime and we are still behind on our rent, insurance etc.

There are limited resources regarding public assistance for rent and food. We have been to the food pantry for food but that lasts for a week or two. We do not qualify for government assistance. We do not have anyone to help us out which has brought me here to ask for a little help. . My husband will start a new job at the end of the month, however bills cannot wait and we really need the help. Our bills our so behind. We cannot afford to get evicted or lose our vehicle. We need the vehicle to get to work and take our son to school. I work nights and the bus doesn’t run and we do not have a subway system. Any help would be appreciated and will help us get us through this financial mess until we get on our feet.
