My dream to play the trumpet

Well first of all hi, my name is Ditte Lindgreen and i am 16 years old. I live in Denmark, a few kilometers outside Copenhagen. I have allways loved classical music and jazz, that probably has something to do with the fact that both my parents are enthusiastic amateur musicians. My mom sings and my dad plays the piano.

Anyways, during the past few months, some pretty substantial changes has happened in my life, changes for the better that is. I would like to tell you all about it, but, as always, other people are involved. This has released much time and made me thinking about where i have to go now. What i have to do to become happy again. This made me think about music, i have untill now been a semi-professional athlete, and i have had no time for the other aspects of life.

This leads me to the trumpet, of all of the instruments, this is the one that makes me smile the widest. The whole idea of playing it myself feels just great. I have practiced the buzzing sound you do with your lips to make sound, and it works to, all i need now is the thing to make the lip noise become all warm and trumpety.

I have found a beginners trumpet that looks like one of the good ones. The only problem now is the funding, me and my family can not afford an instrument. Therefore i turn to you, hoping that my dream of a trumpet can become true. Any donation would help.
