“My Dream” Project.

I would prefer you to assist those in dire need/emergencies first before you give thought to my request. Nonetheless I hope that out of that same generosity that you are helping others in need, you would also consider making "My Dream" come true.

I used to be a high school teacher in Papua New Guinea (PNG) which is a country in the South Pacific. I have a dream that one day I would visit the land whose iconic leaders dreamt of freedom and currently defends that freedom & democracy around the globe; A land that stands as the last bastion of hope against oppression and oppressive regimes.

And what a more iconic American City to visit than to stay in New York City for a week during the Christmas when the snow is falling (we don’t have snow in the South Pacific) and to watch the New Year countdown in Times Square. I would also like to visit schools and observe lessons in progress, lay some flowers at the Ground Zero site of the World Trade Center bombings, stroll in Central Park from one end to the other, watch a game that Americans are so passionate about (MLB, NBA or an NFL match), etc,etc.

The amount indicated is for a return economy class trip by Qantas Airways from Port Moresby to New York (U$ 4,668.90) and a cheap hotel room for 7 days (U$1000). I promise to share my experiences, photos, videos and souvenirs with my family, friends, colleagues, students and the world via facebook.
