My dream about studying abroad

Hello everybody and thank you for looking through this page.

My story begins on a cold winter day back in 1996 in Odessa, Ukraine.  I was born to a wonderful and loving family.  My parents tried to give me as much love as everything else I needed. I got good education and I really loved to study. I finished high school with all excellent grades. Then it was time for me to decide what to do next in the future.

As any other person in the World, I've been always having dreams. Mine was to explore the World and study abroad. Just after school I started university here in Ukraine, persuading Journalism degree. From my second year on, I wanted to go abroad. I've planned everything carefully and applied to several universities in Ireland and Canada. I can't even describe my happiness when I found out I was accepted everywhere I've applied to! I've made a decision to go to Univeristy of Limerick, Ireland, for Politics&International Relations program. My chose is easily explained - I've always wanted to make the World a better place and help those who need help, so I think I'll be able to do so through persudaing Politics&International Relations degree.

But then the war began. The war in Ukraine affected everyone here. The only dream each Ukrainian had was to live in peace again. Because of war, a massive financial crisis started here. It affected my family as well. My father's business was almost ruined, he couldn't pay my tuition (which is rather high for International students) and I couldn't start my studies in Ireland in September 2014.

I was brouht down by these news. However, the university gave me a slight hope - they agreed to transfer my entrance for September 2015 after I explained them the tough financial situation I've been into. I left my university in Odessa and went working. Now I work as a journalist on local TV, but I make hardly enough for living here, without a chance to save money for studying. I can't ask my parents for financial help for paying my tuition in Ireland, because I know how hard is their situation. In addition, they have to raise my younger sister, who is still in primary school.

The university has transfered my entrance for the next September, but this could be my last chance - in case I don't pay the tuition, I will loose my place. The amount I've stated here is the tuition only - for living there, I'll have to work during studying to earn some money.

Now, with the situation in my country, I want to persuade Politics&International Relations degree even more, as now I know what is it to live in war time. Something that seemed impossible roughly entered my life. Becoming a politician I want to change the World, to make it a better place and to help those, who appeared in situations similar to mine.
