Hi, I'm Alanys Melendez from Orlando Florida. I'm 15 years old and proudly Puerto Rican girl and I have a dream. Since I was a little girl i'd love to watch fashion shows. I started to model when I was 4 years old but it was just the basic. Last month I had the opportunity to model some dresses at my school for a local designer and ir was so excited. This was a great experience for me. Now I'm going to participate this summer in a beauty contest and I'm going to represent my beautiful Island, Puerto Rico and the fee is $850.00 due by May 16, 2015. I'll do fundraising and currently I'm selling chocolate bars to collect the money and my parent are helping me too but, can you help me too...? If you don't have a Paypal account sign in as a guest. Hola, soy alanys Melendez de Orlando Florida. Tengo 15 años de edad, soy orgullosamente Puertorriqueña y tengo un sueño. Desde que era pequeña me encantaba ver los "fashion shows". Empeze a modelar cuando tenia 4 años de edad pero fue solo el basico. El mes pasado tuve la oportunidad de modelar algunos trajes en mi colegio para una diseñadora local y fue muy emocionante. Esta fue una gran experiencia para mi. En este verano voy a representar a mi bella Isla del Encanto, Puerto Rico en un concurso de belleza que sera en agosto 1, 2015 y la inscripcion es $850.00 pagadera para Mayo 16, 2015. Yo hare "fundraising" y actualmente estoy vendiendo chocolates para poder colectar el dinero y mis padres tambien me estan ayudando pero, ustedes me pueden ayudar tambien...? Si no tiene cuenta de Paypal ingrese como visitante "guest". Cualquier cantidad sera bien agradecida para mi, yo solo quiero cumplir mi sueo realidad y con Dios en mi alma y mente todo va a salir perfctamente bien. Gracias

This was one of my students that I taught my 1st year teaching. I taught her when she was in 2nd grade and had just came to the USA from Puerto Rico. The poor thing did not know English at all. She has come to far.She was a very sweet, feisty, funny little girl. She has grown from the cute 2nd grader I knew so many years ago to this beautiful young women. I wish her the best her in journey and hope that she gets the support that she deserves.
