My mom Vicenta Zacarias, 62 y.o underwent a major surgery (EXPLORE LAPAROTOMY ) last September 10, 2018. We really never saw it coming. A descending colonic tumor was found and tested it for biopsy. Result will be available in 15 days and we are all praying for a good result. She has diabetes , hypertension and hemoglobin is low. Her potassium is also very low that makes her body very weak as of this writing.
It's been 3 to 4 weeks since she started to feel severe pain somewhere in her stomach and abdomen. She has irregular bowel movements too. All along we thought it was just constipation. We had her checked up in a hospital in San Pedro, and 2 other doctors for second opinion .Initial finding was just UTI (urinary tract infection) and bacteria in her stool and she was prescribed antibiotics. The pain didn't subside all this time that she has been taking medication until it came to the point that she threw up any food and medicine she's took. She was rushed to the ER of SPDH 4am and was referred to a bigger hospital. We went to Amante Hospital in San Pedro 8am and was advised to have an XRAY in her stomach and be checked by a surgeon. We're supposed to have an appointment at 1pm but as time is running , we're noticed that she's having a hard time breathing and her stomach is getting bigger.
We're in constant communication with our friend doctor and when we told him what happened that day, September 10, Monday, he proactively told us that she needs to be checked right away and might undergo operation. He picked us up from San Pedro,Laguna and brought us to Angono Hospital (Angono,Rizal )where he is accredited to do surgery. All necessary tests were done and was cleared to undergo operation following day 8am.
We were all shocked , all along what we thought as a constipation turned out to be worse. The operation was successful .Tumor was removed but again still waiting for the final diagnosis of the biopsy. All medicines and supplies are being bought in cash basis everyday and now we are raising funds for the medication and hospital bill before we get discharged.
Thank you for praying with us. Thank you in advance for any financial assistance that you can give.
If you are willing and able, we would appreciate your much help. Every bit makes a big difference. Thank you and may God bless you and your household a hundred fold!
