Happy Holidays!my name is Elizabeth Kim, 25 years of age from the Philippines. I have a 3 year old baby girl named Yoon Gyung. She a very smart, active and joyful kid. She is living with my parents recenlty in the province while I cram my way here in the city to look for a decent paying job. As much as I would like to spend time with her and live together with her, the situation would just not let us. My apartment condition is not so good for her since she have skin asthma, a very sensitive skin condition. So the environment in the province will be much better for her.
I love her soo much and miss her but I have to be strong for the both of us.

Everyone is talking about how pretty she is, how bubbly and how fast she can learn things for her age. Yes, im proud of it, she is a very smart girl.

Living here in the Philippines, with strong Catholic tradition, babies should have baptism around 3-12 months. That is like Mandatory, unless you have a different religion. My family is pure Catholic so it crushes my heart to see and hear that everybody is scritinizing me and my parents as why my baby is not yet BAPTIZED while she is already 3 years old.!They just don't seem to understand how costly this can be for a part timer parent like me.

I'd love to have her baptized, its just that, having baptism for your baby means you have to cook food(different kind of menu)for the whole neighborhood. It includes Pasta, Cake, Meat menu, Drinks, renting a place for the party, some givaway gifts, and stuff. And if you dont have a big amount of money on hand, you cannot literally afford this kind of ceremony.

So i waited for almost 3 years. My parents always make me feel like I'm not a good follower for the Catholic Community. And I feel extremely guilty looking at my baby, while some kids over neighborhood can afford to be baptized. God knows, I tried soooo hard to save up for this event But, since my baby have this skin condition, always if I have extra money, will be prioritized for her physical needs first.

So, I am trying to knock on your door, for small amount of extra pennies that you have, brothers and sisters.

I will be using any amount I can get to get my baby a decent Baptism as soon as possible. I wont be preparing muc food, I guess, I'll reoare just pasta cake drinks and kids gifts(attendees), I will pay for the priest's baptism fee and I will buy her a new dress for the event, as she always ask me, she want to look like a princess.

Ill be very very much happy to see my kid and let everyone in the neighborhood know that she belong as God's children :) and everyone will stop scrutinizing her and my parents.

Thank you so much. This means soo much to me and to my baby. We will forever cherish your help.
