My dad’s battle with cancer

Hi, Im Valerie Siongco, eldest daughter of Adonis Siongco. My dad was recently diagnosed with liver cancer. We found out about this 5 days after his 60th birthday. Liver cancer is known to spread rapidly and aggressively, which can lead to poor prognosis. My dad will soon be undergoing chemotherapy and radiation in hopes of shrinking his tumor so that it would not spread out.

With any cancer treatment, a multitude of diagnostic tests, imaging, and medications are required. In the Philippines, healthcare is approached differently than in the United States. Patients in the Philippines are required to pay up-front for medical procedures and equipment. Unfortunately my dad doesn't have any healthcard. We rely only with his senior citizen discount.
