Campaign Story
Update: 08/05/2020 My Daddy has left us to be with God. My family and I are truly thankful for every person who cared enough to donate, to say a small prayer for him and my family, and cared enough to reach out to tell us their own stories of struggle. This time is tough for everyone, but at least my Dad doesn't have to go through it anymore. Again, thank you so so much for fighting and for praying with us. I wish you all health and happiness for a long, long time.
My Dad is a very loving man. He barely ever gets mad and always makes us laugh with his Dad jokes (yes, we love him enough to laugh at his bad jokes). He doesn't have any vices. He's also a big vitamin taker.
At the start of the Pandemic, he was the one who kept our family together and encouraged us all to take precaution when going out and to wear face masks and gloves. He was always one of the first to make sure we were all wearing our PPE before heading out- even if it was just to go to the sari-sari store nearby. Any time that I would call him from work, he would always tell me to "Be smart!" and to be careful and to take care. I always thought my Dad was invincible.
July 26, 2020, my Dad took ill and we had to
rush him to a hospital. He was drenched in cold sweat, had become pale and his
breathing became quick and shallow.
Thankfully, the ER Staff were quick to act and tended to his needs as soon as they saw him. He was immediately sat on a wheelchair and brought inside. They provided him with high flow oxygen support and told us all his signs pointed to COVID but that they were going to test him for it first. We feared the worst..
My Dad was admitted after the quick treatment and swabbing. My Dad tested positive for COVID-19. Just like that, our worst fear turned into a reality.
Right now, my Dad is battling COVID-19 in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) of St. Luke's Medical Center and we really need help in funding my Dad's treatment so that he may be able to continue to fight and recover. You see, my Daddy is currently intubated, sedated and is hooked to a lot of other contraptions- but even with all this, his vitals and status remain unstable. We try to call him and pray with him every day so he can at least hear us and know that we're still here, fighting with him, but it's really hard. Every day is another battle for him and all we can do is pray that he gets through it without any issues. Now, we just need funds to ensure that we can give him everything it takes to help him fight through this.
You see, since my Dad is in a private hospital, our government can't really help us pay for his hospital bill, and since I am only a nurse, my salary isn't enough to cover the expenses. This is why I'm reaching out to you, the reader, so that you may help me in ensuring he gets all that he needs to get better.
You can send your donations through here or if you are having trouble sending thru this platform, feel free to message me about it. If you are a neighbor, you can donate directly to my Mom. We can also accept donations through gcash, bdo, paypal western, any of these means which may be convenient for you.
Any amount will greatly help. I just really want my Dad to come home healthy, alive and well. Please help me bring him to full recovery, to health, and back home to us.

My dad was also positive for covid months ago and managed to beat it as soon as possible with the help of support and prayers. May he fight it off soon, as we include your father and your family in our prayers for their safety. God Bless.
