Hi, my name is Mary Huang. I’m 7 years old and I come from a small village of China. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
We used to be three persons, my dad, my mom and me. But when I was 2, they divorced. Since then, we were only two, dad and me. I never saw her again after she left. I didn’t know where she had gone. Every time I asked about her whereabout, my dad went into silence. Time after time, I stopped asking.
With my dad, I am always happy. He feeds me, gives me clothes, plays with me, tell me stories, takes me to grow vegetables, put me into school.....What’s more, he finally built a new house with the savings he has been making for 20 years. And we just moved in recently.
Before we moved back to our hometown in August 2016, we used to live in another town where my dad worked in sugar-making factory. Because we are not registered permanent residence (“Hukou户口” in Chinese) in that town, I could not be enrolled by any public school in that town. So he decided to move back to our town to give me schooling, which put him out of work. He can now only grows fruits and rice to sell, looks for temporary jobs such as decoration worker, sewer worker and etc, any jobs he can find.
However it seemed that God was too busy to take care of us. My dad had something like tumor beside his left ear. It didn’t cause any discomfort to him so he didn’t want to spend money just on checking what it was until one day one year and a half ago. That place where the tutor grew was itchy beyond toleration so he had to go to the hospital. He was told that it was vascular tumors which would lead to the loss of vision. It shocked us to death. After days’ consideration, he took the operation in hope that the tutors would be clearly cut off.
However the last thing we wanted to see happened. The tumor came back! At the same place!
My dad is the only family I have in this world! I don’t want to and I can’t see he lose what is the most valuable to him, which is the same to everybody. But to take another operation means a large amount of money. The hospital won’t arrange an operation until we pay them the down payment. We have lots of stress which we can’t handle with.
I need your kind support to put my dad in an operation to save the only family I have in this world. I don’t want another suffering to him, to us. We can’t offer to lose anything now! And I also want to raise an expectation that our medical technology and skill will be improved one day to cure the patient in one go at low cost to reduce their sufferings and expense especially for those low-income families!
I know his dream is to make enough money to send me to university. But if he loses his vision, how will he fulfill his dream? It hurts him! Please help to fund me to give him an operation. Thank you!
