Hi. I am Rommel Abad's eldest sister and I would like to seek help for my brother's medical state. My brother Rommel has Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 4. In 2003 he had a kidney transplant and it lasted for 14 years (average life span of a transplanted kidney is 15 years and doctors say it is already such a long feat). However, in year 2017, he underwent an angioplasty procedure that made his kidney fail once again. With the heart procedure he underwent, that subjected him to another thrice a week dialysis procedure right after. Due to this event, his family had another financial blow.

With only a convenience store as source of income, daily earnings of the business are not enough to support his dialysis sessions. Moreso, his wife's salary as school teacher isn't enough to make ends meet for the family's daily living, with the regular purchase of his medicines and hospitalization to carry on their shoulders. It is but fortunate that his son, now an 11th grader, is on regular government subsidized school scholarship program and this at any rate, somehow diminish his financial worries..

As I am his eldest sister, I support him in his dialysis treatment, laboratory tests, and if need be, a share in his hospital bill. Philhealth insurance program is limited only for 90 dialysis sessions and is on a percentage basis, but dialyzers, blood and heart maintenance medicines are still needed for his ongoing treatment. This year, January and May, 2019, he was confined in the hospital due to pneumonia, sepsis and heart complication, and with two consecutive hospitalizations, aside from his dialysis treatments, the hospitalization had taken its' toll on the family. I know Chronic Kidney Disease is irreversible, and only transplantation could aide his condition, but bereft with the means to have one, what his family really desires, is for my brother to live a life comfortably, without having him worry about how to pay for his next dialysis session and to seek additional means to support the purchase of his medicines. We are thankful for government aids but it will not last long.

I am knocking at your doors to help my brother go through with the situation he is into right now. I will still be behind him no matter what but I will forever be grateful for those people who will extend financial help, even for the smallest amount. It will do a lot good for him. Also, with all contributions gathered, we would also like to give a percentage to those in need of medical items like dialyzers and Epokine 4000 (for blood Injection) at Community Hospital Dialysis Center inorder to give back the help you will extend in due time.

His medical records will be made available upon request. To validate this, you may refer this to his attending nephrologist Dr. Kenneth Lim at Community General Hospital, San Pablo City, Laguna...

Any financial assistance will do. He has a Bank account, with details as follows:

Account Name : Rommel P. Abad

Bank : BDO Calamba Crossing - North Branch

Account No. : 005910502647

Swift Code: BNORPHMM

Thank you very much and May God bless all of you!!!
