My birthday to build a fence for fearful dogs

(RO): E al patrulea an de când m-am mutat din Cluj la Răscruci ca să fac ce îmi place cel mai mult pe lumea asta: reabilitare comportamentală canină, să salvez animale, să trăiesc înconjurată de animale și păsări. E al patrulea an în care îmi țin ziua aici, pe GoGetFunding, ca să le ofer animalelor o viață mai bună.

Am descoperit că iubesc viața la țară, că mi se potrivește ca o mănușă și, în ultimul an, deși a fost unul deosebit de greu, mi-am dat seama ce norocoasă sunt că pot face ce fac. Majoritatea timpului am petrecut-o acasă, afară, printre animale, muncindu-mi mintea cum să le fac o viață mai bună împreună cu Ana – celalată jumătate Dogs on Hills. Și a fost al naibii de bine. Am adăugat familiei o capră și un măgar, niște rațe și niște găini noi, încă o cioară și mulți câini și multe pisici ne-au călcat pragul și au stat cu noi până și-au găsit o viață mai bună.

Anul ăsta visul meu cel mai mare e să reiau ce nu am reușit să facem în anul ce a trecut din cauza pandemiei, din cauza fondurilor reduse: gardul pentru terenul din spate, teren destinat exclusiv cățeilor speriați pentru care m-am mutat aici. Sunt 90 de metri liniari de gard și v-am povestit anul trecut despre asta, doar că pandemia ne-a lovit din plin și pe noi și nu am mai făcut nimic. Doar o parte din materialele pentru gard – tabla – ne costă 4950 lei sau 1030 de Euro, bani pe care ați ghicit – nu îi avem. Restul materialelor costă probabil încă pe atât și nici în visele cele mai frumoase nu ne-am permite să angajăm pe cineva să îl facă, pentru că nu avem bani. Așa că anul ăsta, de ziua mea, ca în ultimii 4 ani, nu vreau cadouri, vreau gard cadou pentru căței. Nu mai avem mâini de la atâta muncit, dar nu ne lăsăm nici în ruptul capului – facem gard pentru căței, să aibă mai mult spațiu, să putem lucra în liniște cu ei, să le fie bine.

La fel ca în fiecare an, vă reamintesc plină de recunoștință că totul a pornit de la Momo și continuă datorită vouă, oameni frumoși.

(EN): This is the fourth year since I moved from Cluj to Răscruci to do what I like best in this world: canine behavior rehabilitation, animal rescue, live surrounded by animals and birds. It is the fourth year in which I am celebrating my birthday here, on GoGetFunding, to offer animals a better live.

I discovered that I simply love living in the countryside and this lifestyle fits me like a glove and, in the last year, although it has been a very difficult one, I realized how lucky I am because I can do what I do. I spent most of my time at home, outside, among the animals, working my mind on how I can make a better life for them together with Ana – the other half of Dogs on Hills. It was so damn good. We added to our family a goat and a donkey, some new ducks and some new chickens, another crow and many cats and dogs joined our family for a while until they found a better life.

This year my biggest dream is to start again what we were not able to do in the year that has passed due to the pandemic, due to money problems: the fence for the yard in the back, yard exclusively meant for the fearful dogs for which we moved here. We need 90 linear meters of fencing and I have been telling you about it last year, just that the pandemic hit us too and we were not able to do anything. Just part of the materials for the fencing – the board – will cost us 4950 lei or 1030 Euro, money which you guessed, we do not have. The rest of the materials probably cost as much as the board and not in our wildest dreams we wouldn’t dear to hope to hire somebody to do it, because we don’t have the money. So this year, on my birthday, like in the past 4 years, I don’t want any presents, I want fencing as a gift for my dogs. We don’t have hands anymore from the work we do, but we will never ever quit – we will do the fence for the dogs, so that they can have more space, so that we can work in peace and quiet with them, to make their lives better.
