My bff needs a leg up

I’m wanting to help my bff, Izzy. Pride is a bitch, and I know this is something she wouldn’t do for herself because of it, despite her current situation. She’s taken blow after blow after blow, nonstop over the last 3 years and its breaking my heart that I can’t do more for her but I’m in my own situation, and opposite coast.

It began several years ago when she married a man she thought she knew but quickly found out just how much she really didn’t. He was physically & emotionally abusive, she put him in jail herself at least 5 times. One time he broke her arm, the very last time he stabbed her in the back 13x. He nvr did a day in prison, got off every time with a fine and anger management class. She finally left him a couple few years ago, left with nothing, literally the clothes on her back and few personal things. She managed to start her own business, and actually did phenomenal. And then it started, the never ending nightmare of nonstop blows. Her 22 year old daughter was diagnosed with non Hodgkin lymphoma the end of 2015. End of 2016 her brother, who was her everything and only family she had, was killed in a car accident. 2 of the biggest blows ever. She was able to put her in treatment and paid cash. After 4 months her daughter stopped treatment, she was tired of being sick & miserable, she said it’s not a quality life. It tore my BFFs heart out as it was exactly what she would’ve said herself if it was her in the situation. Her daughter wanted to do the holistic approach, which was just as costly maybe even more so. Izzy then sent her daughter & her gf on the bucket list trips etc. whatever she wanted, Iz made it happen. She funded it all for 9 months. In March of 2017, only 8 days before her birthday, her daughter passed away. I can’t even imagine the feeling my friend felt, but even as an ‘auntie’ friend I was beyond sad. I watched my best friend literally slip away and stop caring about whether or not she lived or died. This went on for most of 2017 but she started to finally come around at the beginning of last year, thank god. But between the medical treatment & the holistic approach, and the bucket list funding, she was financially ruined. When I tell you that I’ve never seen a woman as strong and brave as my best friend, I mean it. She’s got this incredible will to live that just can’t be broken completely. She’s got this ambition, a drive that is just impressive to me cuz she keeps on pushing thru regardless. She’s currently homeless, and yet she’s still got the hope to get her life back again and start living. She’s truly one of the most remarkable & strong women that I’ve ever known in my life and I’m blessed to call her my best friend. I’m just wanting her to be off of the street. I’m wanting to see that sparkle in her eyes once again, and above all else, her smile again.

The funds will go to the basic needs to get her off of the street & into an apartment, clothes, and necessities needed If we have any wiggle room, I’d love to get her a car of sorts so she’s able to take a job until she’s back on her feet and kicking ass again
