My autistic son

Hi my name is Catia Teixeira,i am 37 years old and i have 7 year old boy Tomas that was diagnosed with autism 3 years ago.

I decided to subscribe fundraising as at the moment i am employed as i have to dedicate myself to my son 24/7.

Tomas is a very smart,cute little man but he faces many challenges like speech and development.His mental age is of 5 year old child and he faces futher challenges concerning socialising with other adults and children younger or older then him.

Tomas likes is routine and doesn't like sudden changes.He is a child that isn't aware of everyday dangers like for example,cross a street without looking.

Tomas also has a healthcare &education set up till he is 21 years old.He will always need one to one care while studying and also regular health check up.

I need to find a new home suitable for him as a share a one bed flat with him and my 17 year old daughter and there isn't space for all of us.I have to sleep on the sofa while my son sleeps with his sister.

I cant afford a house move,furnishings at the present time and relationship with my landlord isn't the great as i am struggling to find a new place and also he needs to do futher improvements to the flat as he wants to convert it in a local shop so i already have an eviction notice till the 25th of January.And private retting is proving hard to find here in Southampton.

I used to work full time on the Southampton General Hospital as a ward host for year or so but i had to give up to drop and collect my son from school following a nasty separation from his dad.I need to be literally on call because his behaviour at school can change quick and he needs to be collected as soon as possible to avoid futher stress on him,staff or other children as he can get aggressive quickly.

I get universal credit but barely covers the rent and food expenses for three of us.
