Hi! Here's a little bit of who we are doing this for:

About 3 months ago, right before the quarantine happened, my aunt called and said she’s been feeling some sharp pain on her right chest. We had her scheduled for an ultrasound in Kalibo, Aklan and the advice was to take some pain killers as she’s just going through her menopausal stage. 2 weeks after that, she’s still going through the same pain and according to her, it feels like it’s just getting worse. We asked her to redo the check-up with another doctor but just when she’s about to do it, the quarantine was announced. We waited for about two months and as soon as the safety advisory of the government was minimized to GCQ, she went to her doctor and was told that she needed to undergo biopsy. On June 08, 2020, my aunt Lucille "Papap" Socoral was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in Ilo-ilo Doctors, Ilo-ilo City. It’s saddening to see a loved one go through this especially in the middle of this pandemic. With her husband who’s a PWD and a tricycle driver in Kalibo, Aklan down to her youngest who has cerebral palsy, the only ones she could rely on are her two sons who are also trying to make meets end for both their parents and their own families. Auntie Papap is the one who connects us all. She’s the constant provider of joy and laughter and has always been grateful and contented of what she has. I am reaching out to all of you out there who will ever come across this post to PLEASE HELP US GO THROUGH THIS BATTLE with our Auntie Papap. We as a family have tried our best to cover her biopsy, initial check-ups and transportation from Numancia, Aklan to Ilo-ilo City but our bank accounts could only do so much. The doctor said that the goal is to pursue her 6 sessions of chemo therapy which will hopefully start next week if we could gather enough funds. Once the therapy is successful, they will then proceed with her breast cancer surgery. We are in need of everyone’s help. With the current situation that we’re all in, any amount will be whole-heartedly appreciated. We also know that not everyone can donate, but we hope you that you still find it in your hearts to help us through prayers and along with other ways like sharing/re-posting the donation link. It would mean a lot as we will never know how far your post can go. Thank you very much and may God Bless you all. Stay Safe.

For your in-kind donations, please make sure to leave a note or your name if possible so we could personally send you a thank you message. We truly appreciate this and we’re going to be forever grateful.
