I am sorry that I have to ask for help, but fulfilling the BIG wish of my aunt who has multiple myleoma (plasma cell cancer that develops in bone marrow) would mean the world to me!
My aunt Willy is 69 years old and just today I received the news that she will again have to go through chemotherapy. She received the diagnosis in 2012, six months after her beloved mother died and just a few days before her well-deserved retirement.
Born in Indonesia, escaping to The Netherlands in the late 50'ies, being a stateless migrant for several years, choosing for an impressive career instead of family and kids and being left by her husband after 25 years of marriage, I look up to her... Since after all those ups and downs life brought her: her positivy is just out of the ordinary, she keeps telling the silliest jokes and she's the most generous and devoted person I have ever met. She lived a life giving back to her family and community.
When you get older, your roots get more important and I believe when your sick at this stage, unconsciously you write your bucket list. My aunts roots are in Indonesia, that's where she wants to return for some while and travel her past. She deserves this more than anything and it would be wonderful if you can help me fulfill her last BIG wish!!!
As my aunt would never travel without the possibility of supporting a cause, I added some rewards which I believe she would enjoy returning to persons and children in need crossing her way.
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Thank you, words are powerless to express my gratitude, Naomi
