Campaign Story
Michelle is my daughter, who is also a single Mom to Makenzie and Devin. Michelle has always been very independent and was always the one to help others, never the person to ask for help.
On June 29th, 2018, Michelle fell down a flight of stairs and broke her neck. She was taken to the trauma center at U-Mass Medical Center in Worcester, Mass. where she was put in a "halo brace" (hence the title above 'my Angel').
Michelle has to remain in this brace for 12 weeks, making it impossible for her to do certain things. Most importantly, work!
Unfortunately, she does not have any income at all when she cannot work. Just to keep a roof over her family's head and food on the table, her monthly expenses exceed $2,500/month. Any day now the medical bills will be forthcoming. Thankfully she has health insurance, but there will be thousands of dollars in services not covered, along with the co-pays. Weekly surgeon visits require a $50 co-pay.
This is a very uncomfortable situation to be in. To create this fundraiser and have to ask for money is extremely difficult. However, as Michelle's Mom, I have to do whatever I can to try and lessen the stress this situation is causing her. Not only is she dealing with the physical pain of this injury, there is also emotional pain. If you are a Mom...A parent...You know the depths we go to for our children.
If you are able to find it in your heart to help "My Angel" we would be extremely and eternally grateful...forever in your debt! Anything would help, nothing is too little. We truly understand if you can't though...Many people live paycheck to paycheck these days, with nothing to spare. Prayers for my Angel are always welcome!
Thank you so much ~ β€

"I can and I will. Watch me." That is what you should be saying at least once a day to yourself. We have confidence that you will get through this terribly difficult time. You are strong, independent, and smart. Just focus on yourself, try to stay positive (even though there are probably many times you just want to cry...but that's okay.) Cry, then gather your strength and be a force to be reckoned with. We love you. Joe & Carol
