Let the Music Continue

Hello everyone, I am Krystelle Marie Antero. A public school teacher, the adviser of the Drum and Lyre Corps of Mati School of Arts and Trades, a public school here in the Mindanao, Philippines. The organization is composed of different individuals that come from the community who are eager and very interested in showing off their musical prowess through music, but the only problem is, there are no instruments for everyone.

The drum and lyre corps have been playing music using very used up and destroyed instruments and of course, the outcome is not that great. The students and I have been trying to save up for money to buy new sets of instruments since the MOOE of our school does not cover our expenses but sad to say that the instruments over time are getting more and more expensive and the students are losing their hope.

I am humbly knocking into everyone's heart to please help us to realize the dreams of our beloved students. To still give them a chance to show their skills and to continue to support them in doing what they love.

If given the chance, we will be purchasing the following instruments:

• 3 bass drums

• 2 quad drums

• 2 triple drums

• 5 snare drums

• 2 marching cymbals

• 4 trumpets

• 2 tenor drums

• 10 lyres/xylophones

• uniforms for the students
