Campaign Story
With increasing numbers of asylum seekers and refugees, Greece is facing one of the most horrible and chaotic migration resettlement for people coming mostly from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and many African countries, escaping from war, famine, torture, among others. As a consequence, more children and adults are self-harming and attempting suicide in Greek Refugee camps.
In a try to accompany and support them emotionally, we believe in the use of Arts as an effective means to lower tensions and assemble people from diverse backgrounds, to recognize and celebrate their common interest in arts and creativity, which, after all, expresses the world of emotions that all humans share. This project has been developing an array of activities, including group music-making for children, teenagers and adults, using recycled materials, singing, body percussion, summer camps (Painting, crafts, Face-painting) and most recently composition of Lullabies with pregnant women and mothers.
We need your support to continue our activities especially in Northern Greek Refugee Camps!
Thank you for your time and consideration, :)
