Music for Social Change – Sistema Cyprus – €300 for my 30th

My birthday is coming up in a few weeks and one of the best presents that anyone could give me is to offer help or make a donation to an organization that I truly believe in, especially one that has to do with music.

My aim with this fundraiser is to raise 300euros for my 30th birthday and start this new decade of my life in the best possible way: help Sistema Cyprus (ngo) to make a social change through music education. So, instead of a gift, I prefer to get a donation for a worthy cause.

Sistema Cyprus (ngo) is an El Sistema inspired program, which aims to provide children and young people from low socio-economic communities with free music education through orchestras and choirs. The second aim is to promote respect and recognition of vulnerable population groups of the society. Sistema Cyprus operates in the area of Faneromeni in Nicosia, in the “Home of Hope” (Hope for Children CRC Policy Centre) and in the area of Faneromeni in Larnaca, providing more than 100 children and young people with free instruments and lessons.

By donating money to Sistema Cyprus, the children will be provided with:

• New sets of violin strings.
• Musical instruments (so that more children can join the orchestra).
• Also, the money can help to pay for orchestra rehearsals and to buy healthy snacks for the children.

Many of these children and young adults would have never been financially able to take music lessons, but Sistema Cyprus has given them the amazing opportunity of learning music without any cost. Therefore, any kind of donation is very important as it can help to increase the number of children who participate in the Sistema Cyprus program and change their lives for the better.

I believe that music brings out the best version of ourselves. Let's help Sistema Cyprus make our country better through music!
