Music 4 Youth

Hi,

my name is Daniel and i'm a freelance sound engineer.

This summer, i started a project with kids from my neighbourhood, with the main purpose of making music accessible to kids who can't afford it, because equipment is pretty expensive for most parents to buy. That's the main idea of this funding project.

Besides this, and more important, i started the "Music 4 Youth" workshop with 2 major points on my mind:

1 - Build social relationships using musicproduction as pedagogical tool

2 - Teach our kids that they are the actors of their future and that every action they take today, will affect and influence their future. Music is a strong way of expression and thus of shaping the future.

I want the kids to have a clean and productive environment in which they can express their creativity.

Studiotime, equipement use and cd-production are for free, so we actually need the help sponsors and fundraisers who recognize the importance of musical expression, especially at a young age.

I allready managed to get us some monitor speakers, a microphone and a mixing table with fundings.

At this stage of the project, i'm looking for fundraisers who could help us to buy a PC (plus monitor), a sound card and 1-2 laptops, to actually record our tracks and for songwriting.

The approx budget would be around 1500$ to buy a decent PC (+-800$), a soundcard (+-250$) and 1-2 laptops (+-225$ each).
